Kate Gosselin, of “Jon and Kate Plus 8” fame, has been taking quite a hit from the gossip rags this month. Their marriage is starting to become the proverbial wrecked train.

Not-So-Nice Kate

First, Kate dodged questions about a supposed affair with her married bodyguard and watched her husband Jon get dragged through the tabloids for partying with a 23-year-old schoolteacher.

Blogs have reported on the fake aspects of “Jon and Kate Plus 8,” pointing out that Kate Gosselin has been doing more cooking and baking on her reality TV show. Conveniently, Kate is coming out with a cookbook in a couple of months with the saccharine-sweet title “Love Is In The Mix.”

But maybe it’s not. Jon Gosselin’s confession that family life is difficult and rumors of a upcoming Gosselin divorce aren’t exactly full of love cookies.

Kate’s even gotten teased for her new “volcano” hairstyle – flattened bob (of lava?) in the front and a spiky explosion of hair gel in the back. The producers of “Jon and Kate Plus 8” purportedly paid for the haircut, along with a tummy tuck, fake tan, and teeth whitening.

Kate insists that everyone wants her hairstyle and that her stylist gets calls from all over the country asking about it.

Really?
